Eye Check and Sunglasses

Two-year eye check yesterday!

That means eye drops and with that sunglasses to soften the glare from the dilated pupils.

So, some fun with the sunglasses and seeing how I do the ‘cool’ look with 2024’s summer attire.

The ‘Time to take a selfie’ and ‘At the Cantina’ look, lol

Once with eyes back to normal, a return to that art stuff.

More of the Mattatuck Museum in CT

Besides the permanent historical displays at Waterbury, CT’s Mattatuch Museum, there are the featured artists. One room highlighted Andy Warhol’s 10 screen-prints of his commissioned Endangered Species project. ‘Sirius’ (snake & red leg) is by George Marinko. And two by Yves Tanguy, ‘Feu A Eclat’ (Mars) and I don’t have the title for the one with the Hammer.

The Conn. and NY trip

I timed my five hour drive leaving Baltimore last week to have enough time for the journey’s first stop at the Mattatuck Museum, CT before closing.

A small but comfortable three floor museum. Two rooms held permanent displays that focused on important trades in Waterbury’s history: buttons and photography.

While the older wooden box camera’s were of historical interest, the button display was the most prominent. Three thousand buttons to view in glass cases with another 17,000 in sets of cabinet drawers around the room. Also shown is few of several button making machines.
