Displaying the parts of an ArtStory book

The just-posted Art Stuff 3 min. YouTube video 102 highlights my goal of self-publishing my second ArtStory book, ‘24 Album Covers’. Of course, I will be participating in a few group art exhibits during this upcoming year but most of my focus will be on the book.

This image shows just a part of the all the phases it will take to get this book to a PDF file to send to a printer for publication.

This is just one wall of my current solo art exhibit at Katsea Gallery which ends this Sunday Dec 3.

Closing reception on Sunday, Dec 3, 12 to 4pm at Katsea Gallery in Towson. A note, parking on Sunday (at the meters) in Towson is free.

Art Stuff 102-ArtStory book at Gallery

Art Stuff 102: A trip to the gallery to see the 2nd ArtStory book!

While working on the section designs/motifs, it’s a good time to take a drive to the Gallery! And why, well, in particular, one wall. Included in my solo art exhibit is one nine foot long wall that is devoted to the layout and complexity of constructing my second ArtStory book, ‘24 Album Covers’.

Of these worksheets and some, as final designs are the design work for section pages and some of the artwork that will be included in the book.

These tie in to the section page design work I talked about in Episode 101 and will continue to discuss in Episode 103 and maybe 104. Lots of work here in this area of creating this art book.

The art show is still up and running until the closing reception, Sunday, 12 to 4pm, Dec 3, 2024.

Art exhibit, one of the artworks

My current solo art exhibit of over 90 pieces of artwork at Katsea Gallery cast a glimpse of my past 28 years of creating art. Along with current works are several as far back as 1995. This is one of those past works.

Art Stuff – Episode 101

Art Stuff 101: Back to the 2nd ArtStory book!

Been a while (4 months) but I’m back!

A large scale solo art exhibit took precedence and the YouTube video took a pause.

In this video, to refresh the book project, I review three primary areas I will be concentrating on, Adobe InDesign, the design/motif work, and Kickstarter.

Again, this 3 minute video is just a review and more detail of these areas in future videos.

Good to be back.

The art show is still up and running until Dec 3, 2024. I will give some extended information on the art exhibit in a future episode.

Veterans Day, thank you!

11-11

Veterans Day, thank you!

The four to the left are me in Vietnam.

First of three locations as I was in a light (mobile) infantry Brigade. I did not pilot the helicopter but rode in it a few times as a courier.

To the right, my dad.

He drove a DUKW, also called ‘Duck’, six-wheel amphibious truck. He named the one he drove ‘Alma’ (after an Aunt of his, great aunt to me) He saw France, Italy, and Germany from 1943 to ‘45. Bottom right a photo of his unit.
