Baker Portfolio update

Five days until the Juried portion of the Baker Portfolio project. Uploaded the current Art Stuff video to one of the ten sections. Added some additional text and moved a few images around.

Will continue to review.

Art Stuff 104: Changing the 2nd ArtStory book size!

Art Stuff 104: Changing the 2nd ArtStory book size!

For all the followers of my art style and journey this episode concerns changing the size of my in-progress 2nd ArtStory book. While getting quotes from printers to compile a budget cost to determine the Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign goal, the cost of a 10 x 10 inch compared to a 9 x 9 inch book was addressed.

Will I go with a smaller book and how will that effect all the design work already completed for a 10 x 10 inch format?

How will a smaller size effect the book’s pricing?

Lots of work here in this area of creating this art book.

Proofed and rework of Baker Project text

With a fresh set of eyes from a friend to proof the Baker Portfolio project text, I dive back into a ‘text under reconstruction phase’ before the Jan. 26 juried deadline.

Spent most of yesterday reworking initial project and image text. A few more days to go.

Baker Portfolio first project

The Baker Portfolio project allows for each artist to list ten individual projects in their portfolio and up to ten examples of their discipline within each project.

This an image from the first project I have constructed.

A break to see the trains

The holiday season wasn’t all work on the Baker Portfolio project, I did take a break every now and then. Trip up to Kenilworth Mall to see the annual holiday train garden. Just a few shots of this, always wonderful, model train setup.

My Baker Projects

Yesterday’s post was one of four primary images on the Baker artist portfolio site. After these primary images used for the Jan 26 juror selection of Baker artist finalists you can build your portfolio with up to ten art projects.

Each project can have up to ten images. One of the ten projects I created pertained to creating my YouTube art videos. This image is some of the main items used to film and transfer film clips and upload digital scanned images to the computer editing program.

Of note is the orange unit to the left. This is a Lacie 5 terabyte external hard drive that houses all the video episode film clips, visuals, music tracks, scripts & YouTube social media text, plus the downloaded rendering of the finished video. I have a second 2 terabyte external hard drive that houses all the second ArtStory book components. This keeps the computer’s hard drive space from overloading.

The Baker Artist Portfolio Program

Back from a holiday break and wishing you all a wonderful upcoming new year!!
I thought that with the conclusion of the Nov/Dec solo art exhibit, this ‘doing-art-stuff’ would slow down.
Nah, didn’t happen and some of you fellow artists are to blame. You had to start posting Baker Artist Portfolio stuff. Baker Artist Portfolio Program serves and is open to artists in five counties in the Maryland area.
I had a few art pieces on Baker in some random project location for the last 8 years. No text just some art. Didn’t understand it, didn’t do anything with it, didn’t even have a record of my password anymore. That art just sat there taking a snooze.
Your posts about Baker sparked my curiosity and found out they offered several tutorial seminars. All but one had passed. The last one left was Dec 20th in Havre De Grace so I signed up and attended.
Eye opening to say the least. Next day, Dec 21st, I found Baker’s YouTube tutorial of one of the same seminars to reinforce the previous evening and guide me through the format. Dec 22nd, I started and spent the next ten days working on uploading 104 pieces of artwork plus appropriate text. All subject to proofing and revision if needed over the next few weeks by the Jan 26th Juried deadline.
First part was uploading four images as the primary work samples along with a Bio.
This is one of the four.
