This Episode turns the show-&-tell reins over to my fourth fictitious twin brother Hauptcee Haupt. Hauptcee brings his first finished painting to show and then highlights progress made on his second ‘in-the-works’ painting.
lol, Of course I make an appearance at the beginning for the welcoming introduction and at the end for touting my featured art projects in the next upcoming videos.
Final note: Hauptcee will be back in January to highlight the second finished Hauptcee Haupt painting.
It has been nearly eight years since I have attended a Baltimore Blues Society Show/Dance and boy did I receive a treat for a return evening of blues music last night.
Two bands; The Lynwood Taylor Band (tp) to open and then Sol Roots and Mickey Junior Band (btm). Both were exceptional, with a wide range of blues music, experienced clean lead and rhythm guitars and a great sound person that didn’t drown out all the band instruments/singing with a heavy hand on the bass volume.
The lead and rhythm guitars in Lynwood Taylor’s band did a 7 minute all instrumental back and forth duel/solos piece (backed by drums and bass) that was worth the price of the show itself!
Ah, yes those ‘after Thanksgiving sales’ are upon us and galleries that help local artists survive during these brutal winter months so we don’t have to make cardboard signs for a daily ritual of standing on corners asking for donations are doing their upmost part to keep us warm. I digress, lol. I have a bunch (that’s artist talk) of artwork in two galleries over this holiday season. This is one at Katsea Gallery in Towson.
Second part of the Art Stuff 80 video was about Sketchbooks. One was mine and one is for Hauptcee. For those following the Hauptcee Haupt year-long oil painting project being documented within the Art Stuff video series, he needs sketchbooks to create ‘doodles’ to develop ideas for his paintings. My treat! Shown is his first new sketchbook and his first two pages.
