“The House That Jack Built”
Week 29-Holiday Intermission
As the holidays wind down and my bout with two weeks of the flu and other various under-the-weather conditions ease up, I am getting set up to work with the center portion of “The House That Jack Built” painting.
I will continue the “Holiday Intermissions” both this week and next to give me a chance to catch up with ‘Jack’.
This weeks’ posted image, for as simple as it is, has a history. The image was completed as a ‘Vertical’ design. A friend looked at it as a ‘Horizontal’ design and a friendly controversy started with asking several people their preference. The light hearted unofficial vote, at the time, tilted in the ‘Horizontal’ favor and it was framed and displayed at that next Art exhibit ‘Horizontally’.
For this posting, I still like it ‘Vertically’, and so it is posted as such.
Entitled “Blue Bands”, this 8” x 11”, Graphite and Watercolor on paper, was completed August, 2007.
The continuing posting schedule for the project is, as laid out:
Today, Monday, January 5; “Holiday Intermission”.
